Mowo Fleet is redefining the multi modal urban mobility landscape by building fleet services by women. They have on boarded and started motor skill capacity building for 60 women drivers for both two and three wheelers focussing mainly on electric vehicles.

They schedule fixed and dynamic last-mile commute and logistic services in the B2B sector by having partnerships with Even Cargo, Uber & Bluedart. In the B2C sector, they are piloting school pickup and drops.

The company is currently training 130 more women to add to the fleet and provides safety measures like training in self-defence, 24/7 support line, etc. They also integrate preventive measures to mitigate security risk for each driver through collaborative configuration of safe zones and safe stops, charging facilities along the job routes.

About the Founder:

 

Jai Bharathi, an avid motorcyclist, has led national and cross-country expeditions covering over 100,000 km and received praise from Prime Minister Narendra Modi. In 2019, she founded MOWO (MOving WOmen), a nonprofit that trains women and girls to ride 2- and 3-wheelers, establishing India’s first motor training facility dedicated to women. She is now focused on addressing last-mile logistics needs by training a fleet of women drivers, with a vision to empower a million women in mobility by 2030.
