TEXTILE WASTE MANAGEMENT

TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE FACILITY (TAF)

We set up a Textile Waste Management Technical Assistance Facility (TAF) for sanitation worker-first enterprises in India to meaningfully engage with textile waste and support circularity in fashion.

Through the TAF, we supported three high potential waste management organizations in setting up and demonstrating successful textile waste management business models that can then be replicated and scaled in other geographies. You can learn more about our learnings in the report below.

OUR GOAL

To build an ecosystem for textile waste management in India by supporting sanitation worker-first waste management enterprises.

Upaya’s Textile Waste Technical Assistance Facility was launched in March 2024 with the support of Laudes Foundation. Headquartered in Zug, Switzerland, Laudes Foundation provided partners with philanthropic capital, expertise, and connections and worked with and through industries to catalyze systems change.
