Tribal Hermit is a social impact venture working with Dhokra craft artisans from Kondagaon, Bastar, and Raigarh districts of Chhattisgarh. This started as a rural development and livelihood project by IFMR-Lead, to generate sustainable livelihood opportunities for the SHGs, artisans and farmers in rural India. The Tribal Hermit now works with 130+ artisans to design, create, and sell their products.
Their products are primarily metal artifacts, under categories such as decor, fashion accessories, jewellery, and utility. Tribal Hermit is primarily a B2B brand that sells to export houses, fashion brands and corporates for gifting. As for B2C, Tribal Hermit retails directly online on their own marketplace and through established online retailers such as Okhai. They have been able to double their revenues year over year.

Nirmaan Dutta is a management professional with 5+ years of professional experience in Finance & Marketing, with a passion for generating dignified rural livelihoods, started working in the craft sector and established The Tribal Hermit.
Suntu Dutta is a seasoned operations executive with 20+ years of professional experience in Civil & Industrial structural projects, currently managing operations of The Tribal Hermit.
