Shruti Goel is the co-CEO at Upaya Social Ventures- that invests in early-stage businesses focussed on creating dignified jobs for the poor at scale. Shruti monitors Upaya’s social performance, investment strategy, and thought leadership efforts. Shruti has more than 18 years’ experience in international development designing and implementing evidence-based programs across India, east Africa and Southeast Asia. She speaks at various forums on impact transparency and data use.

Under Shruti’s leadership, Upaya Social Ventures has invested in more 56 companies and created more than 100,000 jobs for people living in poverty. She recently launched the Dignified Jobs Collaborative which is an initiative to benchmark the dignity and quality of jobs created for the underserved through impact investments. She is the brain behind the Technical Assistance Facility (TAF) on Textile Waste Management that aims to integrate technology innovation and create better income sources for waste workers in India. She has a Masters in Social Work from the Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS) and a certification in Innovative Finance from Said Business School, Oxford University.
