About the Founders:
Kishan Karunakaran is a renewable energy professional with extensive experience across the biodiesel value chain, including technology development, commercialization, feedstock sourcing, supply chain management, and market access. Brings startup experience across India, the Middle East, and Southeast Asia, with strong industry networks and expertise in renewable energy transitions and fundraising for early-stage clean energy ventures.
With over 12 years of entrepreneurial and technology leadership experience, Venkat Selvan has co-founded technology ventures and architected innovative solutions for organizations such as Greaves, Ampere Electric, and Qpi AI. A Computer Engineering graduate from Sri Krishna College of Engineering and Technology, he plays a key role in driving Buyofuel’s technology-led growth and innovation.
Sumanth Selvarasu is the Co-founder, Chief Marketing Officer, and Product Manager at Buyofuel, leading brand strategy, marketing, product development, and user growth. With over eight years of experience across technology and biofuels, he has successfully scaled digital businesses, built strategic industry partnerships, and driven the growth of Buyofuel’s active marketplace and user community.
