About the Founder:
Ashwin Shankar combines high-stakes engineering expertise with a pragmatic, ground-level understanding of EV operations. A Stanford and Purdue alumnus who designed mission-critical hardware for NASA and Schlumberger, he founded BatteryPool in 2018 after managing his own fleet in Pune and identifying key gaps in last-mile delivery economics. Leveraging a proprietary, full-stack platform built from the ground up, Ashwin has secured backing from leading investors such as Inflection Point Ventures, 2am VC, IAN, and 100X.VC to scale Battery-as-a-Service across India.
