Kullvi Whims sources indigenous Himalayan wool from local pastoralists who traverse the Himalayan ranges and employs traditional artisans for their craft of spinning, knitting, weaving, and even crochet to create handspun woolen clothes for their customers.

From fleece to fabric, an abundance of their landscape is packed in everything they offer through their brand. Their clothes are also naturally dyed in local flora. Kullvi Whims is based in Kullu Valley in Naggar, Himachal Pradesh.

About the Founders:

Nisha Subramaniam, a Co-founder of Kullvi Whims, has been involved in community development and working with women artisans in Himachal for over 10 years. She is a visiting faculty at Srishti Manipal Institute of Art, Design and Technology, Bangalore and Centre for Environment Planning and Technology (CEPT) University, Ahmedabad.

 

Brighu Raj Acharya, a Co-founder of Kullvi Whims, is also the Founder of Himalayan Brothers Adventure. He has gained an extensive knowledge of the local crafts and heritage of Kullu and surrounding valleys while visiting remote and often nearly inaccessible villages and hamlets. Over the past few years, he has conducted many study and craft tours in various part of Himachal Pradesh.
