Prabhat Agarwal is founder & coach at Aravali Scholars wherein deserving students from low income neighbourhoods are mentored and provided academic resources to achieve their potential. Prabhat personally mentors these students in the centre at Sikanderpur, Gurgaon in India.

Prabhat has been a serial entrepreneur and has co-founded Parsec Technologies, an enterprise communications venture and Whowhere, Inc. a global people search portal. He has worked with HCL, Feedback Ventures and RP Punj group in his early career days.

Gordon D’Souza

Mr. D’Souza joined IDFC Alternatives in 2007. He has over seven years of private equity experience.

At IDFC Alternatives, he has been involved in investments in consumer, food and agri business, industrials, and healthcare sectors. Mr. D’Souza has also been a part of two platform investments in the telecom and education space. Mr D’Souza has been involved in two exits for the firm.

Prior to joining IDFC Alternatives, Mr. D’Souza was part of the industrial engineering team at Siemens in India. During his tenure of about a year he was involved in process planning and project management assignments.

Rochelle Dsouza

Rochelle is currently a Principal at Lighthouse Funds, a mid-market private equity fund with roots in the US.  She handles the food, lifestyle and pharma sectors at Lighthouse.  She is responsible for deal sourcing, execution and monitoring of investee companies across these sectors.  Prior to Lighthouse, she worked in the Investment banking division of SBI called SBI Capital Markets where she has successfully executed several capital market transactions that include Initial Public Offerings and Qualified Institutional Placements.  Rochelle is an MBA from SP Jain Institute of Management & Research, Mumbai and has earned a Bachelor of Engineering in Electronics and Communication from RVCE, Bangalore.


Currently he is an active researcher in social entrepreneurship doing his doctoral programme and advise.mentor, few start ups in this field as well as tech entrepreneurship.  He also invests in start ups.

Earlier he was CEO and MD of Wep Solutions Ltd( a Wipro spin off ) and held senior leadership positions in Wipro and Mindtree.  He began his career with ITC after his MBA from IIM, Bangalore.  He has handled supply chain, factory management, field operations, business development and strategy in his corporate career.

He is also a certified assessor for CII in Business excellence and Customer obsession frameworks for organisations.  Trained to be an independent director on company boards by Institute of Directors.

With three decades over leadership experience in handling complex business challenges, he feels he can contribute in building institutions of credibility and high impact in the social sector.

Hemendra is working as Venture Partner with Bharat Innovations Fund.  Bharat Innovations Fund is a unique public-private-academia venture platform to catalyze transformational solutions through deep technologies for emerging sectors such as agriculture, cleantech and health care.

Hemendra has over 20 years of experience in venture capital, private equity, management consulting and investment banking. Hemendra has investing experience across sectors in the agricultural supply chain such as farm mechanization, enterprise-tech for agriculture, food ingredients, animal feed, fertilisers, seeds, organic foods, spices, wheat milling, restaurants and catering. He also holds board / advisory board positions in many early-stage companies in the food and agri sector. He is also mentoring many start-ups in the agri domain in sectors such as big data, farm automation, aggregation.

Hemendra has been championing the cause for adoption of innovations to bring in efficiency in the food supply chain. He is closely working with many entrepreneurs who are working on innovations for reducing food wastage, improving supply chain efficiency and increasing small famer holder incomes. He has authored many papers on the subject and speaks regularly at conferences pertaining to agricultural innovations.

Prior to his PE/VC stint, he has worked as management consultant to many Indian and multinational companies, government and multilateral organizations in the sectors pertaining to food processing, agribusiness, consumer goods and retail. He has extensive experience of working in India, South Asia, Europe and USA.

Hemendra in his career has worked with SEAF, Yes Bank, Rabobank, KSA Technopak, and ORG MARG (Nielsen). He is a management graduate from IIM (Ahmedabad) and Agricultural Engineer from Rajasthan Agricultural University.

The digital  world  and more specifically  the internet has been a subject very close to Harish Anand Thilakan’s  heartfor over17  years  now. Evincing a keen interest  inthe internet  & it’s  working  from  the ageof14,   his  teachers  at  Padma Seshadri  Bala Bhavan School,  Chennai  were extremely  supportive of  his setting  up  his own digital  media business  in class 10.    Having enrolled    into    the School    of Excellence  in Law straight  after school,  Harish  went on  to formally  set up  Influx  and further  grow  it  into an  interactive media agency to reckon with at a national  level.  Influx  soonbecome  the  agency of choice for Reliance Communications, Kingfisher Airlines, Big FM, Royal Enfield, Apollo Hospitals & Vodafone amongst others.  Influxalso  managed to carve a  niche inthe entertainment business as the online  partner  of choice  of nearly  every multiplex chain in the country. Today, Influx employs over 65  personnel and operates offices in India, the UAE and United Kingdom with Australia and Singapore on  the horizon.

In  2012, Harish  got together  with  Aakrit  Vaish andSwapan  Rajdev to  start Haptik,  a mobile app that helps you get things done! Launched in 2014, Haptik was seed funded by Kalaari  Capital and recently received $11.2 million in Series A funding from Times Internet. At Microsoft’s  launch  of Windows  8,  headed the  adoption  of the platform’s  design language as a Design Evangelist to the community.

Harish  likes  to believe  he’s  a  designer  first,  and then an entrepreneur.  He also helps startups who are looking for incubation support from a design standpoint.
