When we compare household income before and after jobholders got employment with our partner companies, we see that their daily incomes have doubled.
The jobholders we’ve surveyed report that their income is more stable than before and that they enjoy their job and would recommend it to others.
Many are saving regularly at an average rate of INR 1,484 per month ($20.77).
It is encouraging to see the priority of sending children to school. We’re also happy that the majority have a formal electricity connection, have their own toilets at home (versus using a community facility), and are cooking with gas instead of firewood.
In 2017, women made up less than one third of our pool of accelerator program applicants, and this year, they are nearly half of the round two applicants.
